Privacy
Policy: Short Version
We
will not treat you like a commodity or anonymous number.
We will respect your privacy, not share your private
data with any commercial solicitors, and we do not employ
invasive or annoying marketing or navigation tactics.
There are no malicious features here. We just
want FOUR things to happen for you while you're here:
- that
you have fun here, and maybe even learn something
useful,
-
that everything on the site works properly for you,
- that
we (and our business partners) earn your trust,
and
- that
you enjoy your stay here enough to join, tell your
friends, or at least come back again.
If
anything is uncertain or unsatisfactory during your
visit, please write directly to Alex Firestone (
), who humbly requests you respect the usage of his
e-mail address.

Policy: Long Version
Information
we collect at this site. FireGirls.com
does not automatically collect any identifying information
from user computers as they browse this site.
However, upon joining FireGirls.com, our billing company
will obtain your computer's IP address, which may also
identify your geographic region, operating system type,
browser type, and assist in verifying your billing data.
Our
Use of Cookies. FireGirls.com does
not presently employ the use of cookies. However,
users who arrive at FireGirls.com after clicking the
coded link of a participating affiliate site may receive
a cookie on their computer, which is a code notifying
our billing company that a user arrived from the referring
link of an affiliate. This information helps our
billing company monitor the performance of our affiliates.
A cookie is an intrinsic feature of every major web
browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Jaguar).
Your browser maintains a folder on your computer for
the purpose of helping the sites you visit function
and display relevant content. Cookies are not
"hidden" codes, and they do not threaten your
computer in any way, retrieve data, nor do they activate
any programs.
Your
Personal Information. When you join
FireGirls.com, you inform the billing company of your
name, e-mail address, postal code, and banking information.
Our executive staff (Alex and Mina) are informed of
each new member's name, postal code, e-mail address,
and account ID number. We are NOT given your banking
information. The limited personal information
we receive for each member is NOT stored on internet
servers, and therefore is not hackable via the internet.
Rather, they are encrypted on offline, password-protected
hard drives, and not accessible by anyone but our executive
staff. The limited personal data we have from
our members cannot be obtained via internet or employee
infiltration. Furthermore, we do not share, sell,
or release any end user personal data without a court
order (even then we might not be fully cooperative).
Your confidence, privacy, and security is of utmost
importance to us.
Our billing companies
are the most trusted in the adult industry, which is
highly scrutinized by banks, governments, and competitors.
These billing companies survive by not betraying the
trust and privacy of their end users. For the
specific privacy policies of our billing processors,
you can view their complete privacy policies at their
respective web sites: Epoch.com, CCBill.com.
Commercial
e-mail. By visiting this site, you
are not put on any commercial e-mail lists. We
cannot know your e-mail address(es) unless you deliberately
disclose them to us. When you join the site, your
e-mail address becomes known to both our executive staff
and the billing company's customer support employees.
It is neither in our interest nor the billing company's
interest to share your e-mail address with outside parties.
Think
about it. What's worth more to FireGirls.com and
its billing companies--a members' multi-dollar monthly
renewal or the few pennies an online marketer pays per
address? Why would we want to piss off an otherwise
happy customer? Alex
says: "Screw
those junk mailers! I would club them with a two-foot
dildo if I could."
Alex Firestone, being
a visible, easily searchable individual in the porn
business, with a published e-mail address, literally
receives THOUSANDS of unwanted junk mails every single
day. Since his legitimate work involves words
like "penis" and "vagina" and "vacation"
and "credit card" and "Viagra,"
he can't really filter out most of the SPAM. He
has to manually delete all that junk. In
his words: "I hate this
shit more than anyone else possibly could, and I would
never, ever do this to my valued subscribers.
If any billing company or business partner of mine ever
leaked my subscribers' passwords to junk mailers, I
would sever all business ties with them immediately
and permanently." And don't forget
the two-foot dildo threat. Now that that's said
out in the open, we hope all our business partners and
customers understand and appreciate our position.
Our online Sex
SuperStore and our Pay-Per-View
Theater both offer visitors and customers the option
to join a mailing list to receive notification of new
products, products of interest to the user, and specials.
They're pretty handy, actually--if you're really into
pantyhose videos, they can send you a pantyhose-related
newsletter. You cannot receive those newsletters
without voluntarily requesting them (that's what "opt-in"
means). The opt-in functions are available
in clearly marked areas, and during the purchase process
(where applicable). If you somehow activate their
newsletter process by mistake, you can always return
to their site(s) to deactivate the newsletter.
In the many years we have worked with our theater and
shop distributor, we have received a total of TWO complaints
about junk mail. In both cases the recipients
were directed to the newsletter opt-in/opt-out features
and canceled without hassle.
Our
Use of JavaScript, PHP, Flash, and other dynamic technologies.
JavaScript and PHP are among the many dynamic programming
languages (commonly referred to as "scripts")
used in website development. Others may include
C++, Ajax, Java, ActiveX, etc. 99% of FireGirls.com's
coding is HTML (which just sits there--your browser
reads it, and it doesn't do anything), and the
rest is mostly JavaScript and a little bit of PHP, which
help our server customize or automate specific functions
to enhance the convenience and interaction of your use
of the site.
There are also Flash (or
Shockwave) elements embedded on some pages. These
are animation technologies from Adobe that are used
almost universally among internet publishers to make
highly interactive features, such as games, slideshows,
surveys, and media players embedded within web pages.
Flash and Shockwave were developed in the late 1990s
by Macromedia, and are now the intellectual property
of Adobe. Though Flash and Shockwave are included
"plug-in" features of most major web browsers,
you can update your Flash or Shockwave plug-ins at no
charge by visiting www.adobe.com.
There
are no malicious scripts running on FireGirls.com.
This site does not attempt to open other sites or install
programs and plug-ins. We've been online since
1999 and have NEVER used pop-up windows, pop-under windows,
or other invasive script actions. The scripts
and Flash objects at FireGirls.com are very simple and
ONLY peform the following functions:
- highlighting
navigation buttons
- content
searches
- image
resizing
- slideshow
operation
- game
operation
If
you saw a blocked content warning from your browser at
any point while viewing this site, it is a safety precaution
by your browser to stop all automatic scripts, Flash and
ActiveX features on this page from functioning.
Though it is possible for some webmasters to use JavaScripts
and ActiveX to perform unwanted tasks on your computer,
blocking ALL scripts will prevent most dynamic web sites
from operating. You should consider lowering the
security settings in your browser, or using a more secure
browser application, such as Mozilla
Firefox.
