Frequently Asked Questions: Contract Models
How
much are your models paid?
Our
models are paid up-front for their work.
The up-front fee is based on several factors,
but averages between $400 and $2,500 per shoot
(about $75 to $400 per hour). Most shoots
take 2 to 6 hours to complete. The pay increases
or decreases depending on how much material we
shoot, the type of activities performed, and the
estimated marketability (appeal) of the model
to our consumers. All of these factors are
determined by Alex, and an estimate and guaranteed
minimum can be given at the start of each shoot.
Also, on occasion,
Alex issues bonuses to the Fire Girls. This
could be in the form of free meals, Christmas
bonuses, free clothing or toys, even paying bills
for girls who are in a jam. All of the above
have happened many times. These are gratuitous,
voluntary gifts by Alex (and Fire House Productions)
to help girls who have helped him, and are not
deducted from what the models earn, and are not
subject to taxation (Alex pays the taxes on these
gifts).
How
is this different from prostitution?
Prostitution
is having strangers pay you for intimate access
to your body. Firegirls.com is paying for
the right to record you in erotic, consensual
situations, engaging in acts of your own choosing,
with individuals you have chosen because you know
and trust them. Firegirls.com is a rewarding,
personal experience for our models, not a personal
violation in exchange for cash.
I'm
afraid of being recognized, so how could I model?
If
you do the math, with the tens of thousands of
girls out there making porn for online consumption
these days, several out there already look a LOT
like you. Long before Peanut, Sidney and
a few of our other models ever got naked for a
camera, friends of theirs approached them with
pictures they found on the internet and said "Is
this you?" No, it wasn't them.
On four occasions
men have written to me, asking me to write to
their wives or girlfriends to convince them I'm
someone other than their guy. The point
is: there are oodles of people in the world who
look just like you. Even if you don't do
porn, someone will think they see you. You
shouldn't worry about being recognized.
If it really frightens you that much, you shouldn't
be reading this page.
Even
if someone you know does see you online, you have
the following reassurances:
- People
viewing your nude body in fantasy material
usually will not equate you with the clothed
person they regularly see, unless you have
some bizarre tattoo on your forehead.
- If
you're young (18 to 23), in half-a-dozen years
you'll probably look different.
- Pornography
is more widely consumed and tolerated than
is generally believed. It's only a big
disgrace to grandma... or perhaps not even
to her. Your parents and grandparents
are not as pure as they pretend.
- You
usually won't be recognized unless you're
working on camera with someone that's generally
seen with you, such as a husband or friend.
Working with one of our models (not known
to your acquaintances) reduces your identifiability.
- If
someone you know does recognize you, that
individual was looking for images for sexual
fantasy in the first place.
If
you do not want your parents, your friends or
your coworkers to know, DON'T TELL ANYBODY.
Knowing someone who does hardcore porn is NOT
something anyone can keep secret. If you
tell a friend or roommate, he/she will tell one
person who doesn't know you, and that person will
tell everyone (some of whom WILL know you, and
then the cat will be out of the bag). If
this is something you want to do, make it your
own, fun secret.
Why
do I need a contract to model with you?
The
contract protects both you and us. The contract
guarantees you a certain rate of pay for the work
you do, plus, it specifies what it is you're willing
to do, and with whom. The contract also spells
out rules of conduct. With everything written
out, everyone can worry less about uncertainties
and miscommunication and focus on the creativity.
The contract doesn't prohibit you from working
in other areas of adult entertainment, it only
excludes you from attempting to create a virtual
copy of Firegirls.com.
You
should never do any modeling work for anyone
without a contract that specifies the following:
- Who
the agency and it's administrators are
- Where
the agency's legitimate office location(s)
are
- What
you're agreeing to do (or not do)
- How
much you're going to get paid
- When
you're going to get paid
- How
the images will be used
Also,
be sure you understand any exclusivity, availability,
disqualification, noncompete, and cancellation
clauses that exist in any contract before you
sign. Don't let some smooth-talking, innocent-looking
camera guy trick you into a lousy situation!
Are
you a legitimate business?
Unlike
most adult web sites, Firegirls.com is the product
line of a legitimate, registered, insured, professionally-managed
business with bank accounts, employer ID number,
bookkeepers, strategic planning, contracts, policies,
offices, tax accounts, trademarks and the whole
nine yards. We're still a small operation, owned
and managed by models, but we're professional.
So
what makes Firegirls.com different?
Many
things make Firegirls.com unique:
- We
pay better than almost any amateur adult site.
- We're
a legitimate, well-established business, not
novices with unproven ideas.
- We
provide a mostly-female work environment,
where you only work with people you know and
trust (you get to know us before you work
with us).
- Our
models are always portrayed in a positive,
consenting, and empowered perspective (unless,
of course, she's engaging in some form of
role play or satire that she wishes to act
out).
- The
model's comfort and security are our first
concern.
- Strict
social health policies for the protection
of our models.
- Our
models may choose or modify the situations
they participate in.
- Our
models choose their partner(s) and activities,
based on their own preferences.
- We
bring a high level of creativity to erotic
entertainment, making our own photos, movies,
stories, games, and thoroughly researched
and tested sexual information.
- We're
famous for being honest, positive and original.
